Dear Neighbors and Residents of the Bruderholz

 

Some weeks ago the Neutral Neighborhood Association Bruderholz (Neutraler Quartierverein Bruderholz - NQB) conducted a survey in order to find out whether there is a need for a new location serving as a meeting point open to all residents of the Bruderholz. The amount of positive feedback we received encouraged us to continue with the project. After some more clarifications the steering committee of the NQB decided to launch the project “QuartierOASE” (neighborhood oasis).

 

Based on the feedback received from the survey, we got a big foundation of ideas upon which we can build the concept for the meeting point. Because of all the support and thanks to the commitment we have already received from people willing to work with us or contribute organizationally, financially or otherwise materially, we have decided to fully engage in this project. We are planning to open the new neighborhood oasis in September.  

 

It is our goal to create a new form of coming together in collaboration with the experienced institutions and businesses in the neighborhood. We do not look to compete with services which are already available in the neighborhood (churches, businesses, restaurants and cafés). Instead with additional services the new location should add to the quality of life on the Bruderholz. Everyone of you is welcomed to join in and help us to define these new services. A group of engaged people are now consolidating the pool of ideas. To do so, we formed different teams, each working on specific aspects which we can then be put back together into one coherent concept.

 

The QuartierOASE is thought to be a place where you can spontaneously meet. It provides room for artists and their exhibitions. It accommodates classes, presentations and meetings of local organizations. You can also just go there for an evening get together across all generations.

 

It is our goal that the expenses are covered by the revenues generated from the usage of the location. If you are interested to join in, please fill out the contact form and return it to us. We are looking for people to help us with the renovation and later on with running the QuartierOASE.
